Submit your nominations for
CNOC Patient and Family Committee Members
We are excited to announce that the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative (CNOC) will include CHD patients, parents, and other family members within the CNOC Steering Committee and Standing Committees beginning in 2018.
CNOC is a not-for-profit organization established to determine and implement best practices of neurodevelopmental and psychosocial services for individuals with pediatric and congenital heart disease and their families through clinical, quality improvement, and research initiatives. See http://www.cardiacneuro.org/ for more information about CNOC.
We are now accepting nominations for adult CHD patients, parents, and other family members to join the CNOC Steering Committee or Standing Committees. Nominations can be made by healthcare providers or leaders of CHD organizations. To submit nominations, please send the name and email address for all individuals being nominated to firstname.lastname@example.org by December 15, 2017. Alternatively, nominated individuals can email email@example.com directly to provide their name and email address. Please consider diversity when identifying individuals for nomination (gender, race/ethnicity, region of country, age of child).
CNOC will reach out to all nominated individuals by email with the request that they complete a CNOC Committee Member Application, on which they will be asked to rank order their preferred CNOC committees. Approximately 12 patients, parents, or other family members will be invited to join a CNOC Standing Committee (two per committee) and two will be invited to join the CNOC Steering Committee.
See the committee descriptions here for committee responsibilities, long-term goals and member expectations. The expected time commitment for committee members is 2-4 hours per month.
Thank you for your nominations!
